Celebrating Fathers Around the World
 by Hannah Averitt Growing up as a pastor’s kid, I recall that Father’s Day always fell on the busiest day of the week for my dad. Every Father’s Day that I can remember has found my mom, siblings, and me listening on the front row while Dad preached a sermon dedicated to the special occasion. Whether or not our family went out to eat or had lunch at home, there was an unspoken understanding at our house that all Dad really wanted for Father’s Day was an uninterrupted .  Hannah Averitt makes IEW her destination while on summer break from John Brown University, where she is a junior majoring in accounting. The oldest of five children, Hannah graduated from Mingo Valley Christian School in Tulsa. When not studying at JBU, Hannah enjoys performing with the Cathedral Choir, John Brown University's most prestigious music ensemble. The choir's reputation for excellence has led to performance tours all over the U.S. and in Northern Ireland. In addition to annual tours, the Cathedral Choir is featured every December in the magnificent Christmas Candlelight Service, which is the biggest performance event in the JBU Music Department.
